Coral Fragmentation & Outplanting
Coral Fragmentation & Outplanting

We work with partner organizations to regrow endangered staghorn and elkhorn corals. Healthy fragments are attached to custom-built structures, where they flourish into reef-building colonies. This “coral gardening” boosts biodiversity and strengthens the reef’s ability to withstand storms and climate stress.

Fish Feeding & Brood Stock
Fish Feeding & Brood Stock

Leftover fish from the Curaçao Sea Aquarium is used to feed wild snapper populations in protected zones. This sustainable practice supports large, stable brood stocks adult fish that reproduce and help repopulate reefs across the island. It’s a simple but powerful way to boost biodiversity while giving visitors a close-up view of thriving marine life.

Gorgonian Fragmentation Project
Gorgonian Fragmentation Project

Soft corals like gorgonians are often damaged by storms or anchor strikes—but they can recover. Our team rescues broken or stressed gorgonians, fragments the healthy parts, and secures them to natural rock bases for regrowth. Once healed, they’re returned to the wild, forming a beautiful underwater forest that provides shelter and structure for countless marine species.
